Mrs. Gaye Evans, a Norfolk Islander, as part of her duties as Deputy Clerk to
the Legislative Assembly, has embarked on a programme to assist educating young
Norfolk Islanders in how the Norfolk Island Parliamentary system works.
Mrs. Evans has been working with the Norfolk Island Youth Assembly in parliamentary procedures since 1999. The Members of the Youth Assembly meet in the same Chamber that the Legislative Assembly meets in for it's parliamentary sessions. The Youth Assembly draws on children from Year 7 to Year 10 at the Norfolk Island Central School.
