Office of the Clerk
The Office of the Clerk comprises the
Parliamentary Officers of the Legislative Assembly of Norfolk Island. The
Parliamentary Officers are the Clerk and the "Deputy Clerk". The
Clerk and "Deputy Clerk" are appointed by
resolution of the Legislative Assembly under section 48 of the Legislative
Assembly Act 1979. Whilst the term "Deputy Clerk" is not defined
in the Act, by convention it is used to describe the person appointed to
act as Clerk in the absence of the Clerk. The Clerk to the Legislative Assembly is:
Miss Robin-Eleanor Adams JP

Miss Adams was appointed as Clerk in June 1984.
The "Deputy Clerk" to the Legislative
Assembly is:
Mrs Rosemarie Gaye Evans

Mrs Evans was appointed "Deputy
Clerk" in 1995.
