The international link is via undersea co-axial cable cable, terminating at the Reach ANZCAN Station at Anson Bay. The Anzcan submarine cable is soon to be supplemented with the installation of a satellite earth in the near future.
Diagram of the cable network
The external cable reticulation is predominantly underground grease filled cables utilising above ground pillars and elevated joints as distribution points. Recently line concentrators have been installed to help overcome congested areas caused by the sudden flood of services from subscribers requesting additional lines into premises for internet.
